Our Life In iPhone Pics

(a couple weeks worth)

I'm behind, so I decided to just catch up all at once.

Let's rewind back to Mother's Day weekend.  We stayed at my parents' house Saturday night.  Chris had a golf tournament and I went shopping with my mom and sister - including all four of our kids.

What a whirlwind of a trip!  Won't go into the long details, but my sister and I made out with some very pretty dresses courtesy of our sweet momma (our Mother's Day gifts).

After shopping, we went to Hannah's softball game.  It was a LONG game - they went over the time limit, but ended up winning.

The littlest priss had a blowout diaper and just smiled at me the whole time I was cleaning her up. The little stink.  Macie and Noah were occupied by dirt and ring pops.

Mother's Day morning, we woke up, had breakfast, got ready real quick, and went to church.  The sweet Methodist women honored Macklyn with a donation to an organization.  I thought that was pretty neat.

After church, we stopped to eat Chinese in town then headed back to my dad's shop for ice cream and a little social time.  The kiddos played to their hearts content....

and Macie and Noah butted heads as usual.

They just can't find a happy medium - they either get along or fight.  Ahhh!!!

As usual, it was so much fun to see the family and I was sad to see the weekend come to an end.

We left for home and Chris did dinner - he ordered Chili's takeout for my Mother's Day dinner.  Better that than what he might attempt to throw together.

We didn't have a very exciting week - which is why I'm not doing a week in iPhone pics.

We did the usual school, had a playdate with Macie's friend, Grant, then just laid low the rest of the week until Friday.

About the most exciting thing that happened with me was having a chance to flat iron my hair - woohoo!!!  It's been about a month since the last time I got to do that.

We're supposed to have playgroup on Friday, but we opted out this week because Macie woke up with a bloody nose.  It was supposed to be a trip to the "beach" and I just didn't think a bloody nose + water was going to be such a good idea.

So instead, we hung around the house that morning then headed out to watch my cousin play in her senior powder puff football game.

I can't believe she's a senior - makes me REALLY feel OLD!

After powder puff, we went to my SIL's new apartment for a yummy dinner!

We had a good time and the girls got some quality time with their Lolli, Aunt Ash, and Aunt Sherri.  It's always a great time with that bunch of ladies!

Macie spent the night with Ash.

Saturday, I met Ashley at Central Market after a grocery trip - grabbed Macie, ran home to quickly unload, ran to Stephenville for a Birthday party for my BFF's {that now lives in OK} 2 y/o, went to see my cousin's new baby girl, then headed back to the house for dinner with our neighbors.

What a busy day!

We finally got to relax at the neighbors' house.

I'm so glad we're finally hanging out with them more.  Kara is so sweet and it's just nice to have someone next door.  It'll be great having babies the same age so they'll have playmates.  Love it!

Chris planned a golf trip today and I had intended to stay home and clean, but a trip to see my momma sounded like a better idea.  My niece and nephew were there, so Macie had some playmates.

We had Chinese again {because the Mexican food restaurant's grill and fryer were broken}, I ran into my BFF with her dad and brothers {got to see her two days in a row, YAY!}, and just hung out for a while.

The week went by fast and the weekend flew.

This is Macie's last week of school and we're going to have a busy weekend again - a birthday party for a friend of Macie's, a wedding reception for one of Chris' best friends, and Chris is going to a Rangers game on Sunday.

Whew!  I'm already out of breath.

The weekend.

A chill weekend.

Saturday we all woke up and hung out - stayed lazy all morning.  I went grocery shopping with just one kiddo.  It's amazing how much leaving one at home helps.

There's marina in town that has a restaurant called Stumpy's with awesome surf and turf kinda food.  We hadn't eaten there in a while, so I told Chris that we needed to go.  He was on the phone with his buddy and they just happened to be going that evening for dinner before his son's t-ball game, so we planned to join them.

It's always fun at Stumpy's because after we finish eating, we'll feed our leftover fries to the fish, ducks, and turtles.  Macie always looks forward to going, especially when her little buddies are there too.  I wish I had taken some pictures, but I was a little busy with the littlest priss.

After dinner, we went to the t-ball game to root for Macie's friend.  We got to yell really loud when he hit a home run!  They didn't win, but he did pretty awesome.  Macie, of course, would rather play in the dirt with her friends than watch the game.
Sunday we woke up early to start the day and get ready for a baby shower in Paradise for one of my friends.  I was alone because Chris went to play golf EARLY {left before 6:00 a.m. - how is that fun?}.

The shower was very nice and it was good to see everyone.

We stayed about an hour or so then headed over to my in-law's house to hang out and get some outdoor time in {we have no shade at our house, so with the HOT days already we don't get to go out much}.
Macie played and played, then wanted to stay.  I think she would probably split her time between the grandparents if we would let her!

We got some tummy time in, then headed outside.  Macklyn LOVES it outside.  She always falls asleep while outdoors - it's so cute.
 Then she got a sweet pallet on the living room floor and slept until we had to leave.
Then we made the trip back home to Daddy.

Now we're looking forward to another busy weekend consisting of a golf tournament and Mother's Day.  I hope Chris doesn't forget to help out the girls with a nice somethin' somethin' for Momma. :)

~Our week in iPhone pictures~

I know, I said I was going to do this weekly and I'm not.  I want to have fun doing something and not stress about getting it done, so I've decided to just do this when I happen to have a good week with lots of pictures.

So anyway, here we go...

Monday was pretty uneventful.  Seriously.  I have two pictures from this day.  Macklyn found her thumb and had started using it to soothe herself, but gets VERY angry if she can't find it {pic is from the day before}.  We went on our daily walk with our neighbor and her baby {Macklyn's future buddy}.  We're searching for our cat, so Macie was keeping a lookout for her {she's been gone going on two weeks :(}.  I'm starting to get a pretty good tan from the outdoor time - exciting.  Still, it's getting way too hot, way too fast.  Me no likey having no Spring. Wah wah.
~~~~~~~
Tuesday, no pictures. Macie went to school and Macklyn and I came home to chill for a bit before our walk with Kara and Preslee.  We went a little longer on our walk this day, so I was pretty tired.  I went home anyway, took a shower, headed out to get Macie from school, and we took off to Ft. Worth to meet my MIL and SIL to drop Macie off for a sleepover.  I made my mom and MIL a photo book of Macie {from birth until now} on Shutterfly {which I've become obsessed with} and it was supposed to be a Mother's Day gift, but I couldn't wait that long.  I gave my MIL hers and I *can't wait* to give my mom hers now.  I worked HOURS on these, so I'm really proud of how they turned out.  I ended up making a couple of my own in smaller versions.  One is Macie's baby pictures and the other is Macklyn's.  Can't wait to get those either!!!
Wednesday was a BIG day for all of us!  Macklyn and I went on our walk, then came home to get ready for some strawberry pickin'!  We met Marianne and Ashley out at the farm and one of Macie's buddies and his mom met us out there too.  They had a blast!  After we finished up, Macie went with her friend and Macklyn and I went for a mani and pedi with Marianne and Ash.  I hadn't had a pedi since BEFORE Macklyn was born.  Whew, that was needed desperately!
Thursday, Chris got Macie ready for school AND took her to eat donuts before dropping her off.  What a sweet daddy!  Did I get a picture of them?  No.  I was too busy trying to sleep in with little miss I don't want to sleep.  Speaking of the little one, she turned 3 months this day!  We eventually rolled off the couch and got ready for our walk.  I've quit DP and have been chugging me some water!  We hung out at the house for a while then went to pick Macie up from school.  From there, we stopped to get snow cones.  Go figure - I stop at the one that has melty ice because it hadn't had time to freeze.  Oh well, I got a scoop of vanilla in mine and it made it a little better.  My cousin came over that evening so I could take her pictures and we made her graduation invitations.  {{tear}}  I can't believe she's grown up.
Friday {today} we went to the "beach" here in town for play group.  **Warning, Soapbox**: It's actually pretty nice for a lake beach, but like any public area there are the trashy people that don't care and leave trash, cigarette butts, and dirty diapers {I've never understood not disposing of diapers properly...it's just gross and rude}.  Thankfully, the city has workers that go around cleaning it up as best they can.  I didn't get any pictures of our beach outing - was too busy trying to keep an eye on Macie while keeping the baby out of the sun.  Today was just a weird day.  It seems like it just flew by.  Macie thought Macklyn was getting hot, so she cooled her off with a whipey.  I picked up dinner for us from Sonic {they downsized their kid's meal drink}  Chris went to bed a few hours ago, I got Macklyn to sleep, then got to doing the things I don't get to do during the day.  Edit pictures, make collages, and internet shop.  I'm debating whether or not to buy 50 Shades of Gray, I'm looking at a website I found on Pinterest with swimsuits, and I'm swimsuit shopping online.  This morning while getting ready for the lake, I put on my two piece from last year...boobs were falling out.  So I broke out the one piece - boobs still falling out, but not as bad.  I've *got* to get a new one before the next time I go swimming!
That's all folks!  I'm gonna turn in and get some sleep {fingers crossed} so I can prepare for this busy weekend ahead.
well, hello stranger
Long time, no bloggy.
Yes, we do fun things that I need to blog about...
but, it's near impossible to when miss priss wants to be held all. the. time.
I'm not complaining....
Well, maybe I am a little...
but I know I will miss this one day.
Macklyn has her days when she will play on her own for a little while and when this happens, I'm usually getting something done {really quickly}---like washing or folding clothes, doing the dishes, cleaning the toilets {yuck!}.
I don't want her to grow up too fast, but I am ready for her to hit the stage where she actually doesn't mind playing on her own.  She's fine if I'm right there beside her.
Oh, and sleep is great....at night.  I won't complain about that because she could have her days and nights mixed up and never sleep at night {when I do}.  She'll take a few cat naps, but usually only in my arms.
Other than never letting me leave her alone for a minute, she is a perfect little angel.
Seriously.
She's the SWEETEST little baby.  If all babies were like her, I guarantee there would be a lot more around.
What a little talker she is!  I would post a video of her talking and laughing, but that takes forever to load and I don't have that much time.
She constantly smiles and I LOVE IT!
Macie gets so excited because her baby sister smiles at her.
Macie sure does love Macklyn and Macklyn loves Macie too!  That warms my heart.  I hope they love each other this much forever!
I've caught Macie trying to comfort her sister after waking from a nap or if I put her down {and she gets a little upset}.  All of the sudden the crying will stop and I look back to see sweet Macie helping me out.
I did have to explain to her once that she can't pick Macklyn up {she had grabbed her from her rock and play and was HOLDING her in an awkward way...freaked out a little}.
~~~~~~~

Macie is great.  We've made a few trips to the park already this Spring and we'll break out the inflatable pool this week {hopefully}.

Now that we have a baby tagging along to all of our outings, pictures aren't as frequent....unfortunately.

I think the last time I actually took some pictures was the other day at my niece's softball game.  She's awesome, by the way.  They won and Macie had fun playing with Noah and seeing Hannah.
After a couple of Ringpops, Noah had a blue mouth and Macie thought her tongue had turned pink...because it's not already pink.

Yes, there are seven braids in Macie's hair.  Her sweet teacher did that after a Bible story at school that day.  The next day, she had to have multiple braids again--we only did four, though.

Macklyn just hung out in the Moby.  She got pretty cozy after a while and fell asleep.  Sweet girl.
 Sweet Hannah!  I'm so proud of how great she is doing in softball.

~~~~~~~
Today, I wanted to take a few pictures of the girls together--that didn't work out so well.  I got the pictures of Macklyn above, but Macie wasn't feeling it.  Maybe tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, we are meeting our next door neighbor for a walk around the neighborhood.  She has a baby girl that is about 3 weeks younger than Macklyn, so we'll have a buddy growing up next door.  We went walking on Monday too and I'm hoping to make it a habit...maybe I'll drop the rest of the baby weight!
The walk was fun.  The "farmer's tan" sunburn as a result of not using any sunscreen, however, was a big FAIL.
Look at that little happy face peeking in on the pic. :)
I guess I'm going to have to get out in a swimsuit to even out my tan soon.  It's already sleeveless weather and I can't have my arms looking like this!  I had to rethink my wardrobe this morning to ensure I didn't make everyone jealous with my sexy arms.
~~~~~~~

This past weekend, we went to Chris' mom and dad's for a little celebration for his dad's birthday.  As usual, the kiddos had fun.
Macie was a butterfly catcher for the day, then decided to strip down to her underoos and run through the sprinkler.  All I was thinking was BURRR!  She wasn't even phased.
I think this might be the first picture of the three of us since the day she was born and I'm pretty sure we don't have one of the four of us.  Sad.

So, that's what has been going on with us lately.  I say it every time, but I really hope I can start keeping up with blogging a little better.  I know, I know... just set the baby down, Erin.

Our week in iPhone photos!

I see this on this blog every week and always think, "I should do that!"
I never do the 10 on 10 like I would like to do each month {have sworn to myself that I would every month since I started the blog over two years ago! <----links to my very first blog, WOW!
So this week, I am actually doing something fun!
And MAYBE, just maybe...I will continue something.
Monday was a chill day.  Macie stayed at her Lolli's Sunday night and Macklyn and I hung out at the house, just playing around.  She had her first experience in the swing outside....and LOVED it.  Macie was excited for the delivery of the new chicks at Lolli's.  She's in love with them!  Macklyn got her first ponytail (you can sort of see it in the picture.  Little bit and I headed to Paradise for a visit and to pick of big sissy.  When we got home, Macie wanted to ride her bicycle....and decided to attempt acrobatics.  We put a stop to that pretty quick (right after I got a picture of it!).

Tuesday was a school day for Macie.  Macklyn and I headed to the Apple store shortly after dropping Macie off to get some troubleshooting done on the MacBook.  She was such a trooper in the store!  Afterwards, we made a Target run and headed home to get big sister.  Macie just loves Macklyn to pieces.  She always wants to be right by her side - giving her hugs and kisses.  Macklyn LOVES her little "play mat" - those animals are her new pals.  She'll just talk and talk to them!

Wednesday, we made a trip to my hometown to visit and pick up my mom's MacBook (I needed it for homework since I was computer-less).  My grandad and uncle brought some cows in and put them in one pasture, but one of them decided she wanted to go over to the garden.  My grandma said she ran out there shooing that stinkin' cow away.  She and my grandad work hard on that garden, the last thing she wanted was a cow trampling and eating up her veggies!  The poor girl in the picture was missing her buddy and wouldn't stop mooing.  Macie said it hurt her ears.  She let me get a few pictures of her anyway.  Miss Macklyn has everyone wrapped around her fat little fingers - she was really showing off for Grandma and Nana!  Macie and those stick horses.  When Noah and Hannah are around she's battling to gain control of all three.  I try to make her share, but she just doesn't want to for some reason.  We made it home for little bit to get a bath and I snapped this picture of her svelte figure.  I don't think she gets enough to eat.....

Thursday was another school day....I didn't get one picture of Macie this day. :(  How can you not love this sweet face???  This was the first day Macklyn wore a pair of shoes.  My mom gave these to her for Christmas and they fit now.  Yay!!!  She and I headed back to the big city to the Apple store to pick up the computer.  They said it was one program messing everything up...too bad when I got home it was still doing the same thing even after removal.  So now I have to take it back up there again.  UGH!  I'm just glad I bought Apple Care and it's still under warranty - no out of pocket for me!!!

Friday was a big day.  We went to play group at Chickfila.  Macie got to play for a while with her friends there.  After, I needed to pick up a few things from Walmart.  Macklyn was STARVING so we sat in the car for a feeding.  Macie's face shows her enthusiasm for sitting in the car waiting for her sister to finish.  I recently bought a Moby wrap and LOVE it!  At first it felt awkward, but now it's a lifesaver.  Macklyn will just snooze in this thing for hours.  We got to play outside.  I'm loving this sandal weather and so are my toes....besides my right big toe (ol' gimpy).  It's about to fall off unfortunately - just in time for sandal season.  Macklyn got to swing again and Macie had a yummy popsicle.  We're still trying to figure out if we can repair the trampoline (from the last storm....it blew into our fence and bent like a potato chip) - Macie's a little bummed about this.  Poor girl, only got to play on it for about two months.  Chris had a package delivery and Macie attempted to hide behind the big ol' box.  :)  Macklyn is ALREADY in a size TWO diaper.  How did that happen?  She will be two months tomorrow!

Saturday, I didn't take any pictures.  We went to my cousin's little boy's first birthday party, Macie went home with my mom, Chris and I went to our friends' little boy's t-ball game, then went to the same friends' parents' house.  Long day, summed up in a nutshell.  It was a fun day!  :)

Sunday, we took bluebonnet pictures out at my grandparents' land.  The flowers were so pretty, but the kids (besides Hannah) weren't digging the whole taking pictures thing.  We got a couple of decent pictures, but not what I wanted.  Oh well, can't win 'em all!  I can't believe how big Hannah is now - she loves taking pictures, so I asked her to take one with me.  I just love going out there.  Brings back memories of my childhood and riding around with my Grandad in his old Toyota pickup, drinking from his milk jug full of water - he would freeze water and it would melt throughout the hot summer day.  We would drive all around checking on the cows and looking over the land.  After we finished, we went back to my Granparents' house.  Macklyn fell asleep on my mom, she was giving her those sweet baby snuggles.  Macie picked a rose without asking, so I made her take this picture.  My grandma took a picture of my sister like this when she was about this age.  When I was about five, I wanted one just like my big sister, so she took one of me too.  Now we have one of Macie.  I'll try to find the one of me and share that.  Hopefully I will get one of Macklyn one day too!

So, that was our week all summed up.  Maybe I can start doing this to keep up with the blog a little better.  I know I'll regret not posting, so I'm trying to get back onto the blogging wagon!  It's just so hard when I'm one handed the majority of the day.  :)
